How To Make Basic Bath Salts

How To Make Basic Bath Salts

Bath salts are essentially epsom salts combined with essential oils. Learn to make your own in this recipe.

What you need

1 cup Epsom salts or Rock salt

4-5 drops Food Coloring

3-5 drops Essential oils

Bath salts are very easy to make and when added to a warm bath that can be very relaxing.

For a frugal alternative to Epsom salts, you can use a fine grade pool rock salt. Just substitute the Epsom salts in all our bath salt recipes for frugal pool salt.

Add all the ingredients together and mix well.

Make sure the food color blends into the salt or it won’t look very inviting.

You can do this by tossing the salt over and over again.

Add dried rose petals or lavender sprigs for a natural presentation.

Add your bath salts to a decorative jar and place a small wooden spoon inside for a great inexpensive gift.

Are you using magnesium Epsom salt?

Epsom salts and magnesium flakes help improve the body’s natural detoxification process.

You can scent your bath salts with Essential oils or Fragrant oils. We suggest essential oil for the therapeutic value.
