Shampoo Build Up Remover

Strip your hair of shampoo and other products using this natural recipe.

What you need

1/2 cup of Bicarbonate of soda
1 cup of Water

Mix these two ingredients together to form a paste that will strip your hair of all its shampoo and product build up.

It will leave you with fresh healthy hair.

Add it to the hair and rinse well with warm water.

Use soda water for a more effective hair rinse.

Looking for a herbal shampoo? Check out our DIY recipe for making your own natural herbal shampoo with basic supplies. We also have a herbal conditioner recipe too.  Home-made shampoos and conditioners are a great way to strip back to basics and control what herbs you are putting into your hair shampoo and products. Store-bought herbal shampoo contains lots of numbers and ingredients that as the consumer we know very little about.

  1. I use this once a week in the shower and it works great!

  2. I used this and, while it did take a LOT of the goo out of my hair, it also left quite a bit of goo behind. does it sometimes take more than one treatment?

  3. if your hair stinks after this, just clean it out with shampoo,(duh)

  4. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

Either would be fine, but wet hair might be easy to spread.

  5. This may sound silly, but, do you put it on when your hair is wet or dry?

  6. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

  7. i just recently dyed my hair, is it ok to use now or shou.d i wait a while??

  8. Leaves your hair SO healthy and rejuvenated!

  9. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says
