Epsom Salt Hair Volumizer

Epsom Salt Hair Volumizer

This DIY hair volumizer uses conditioner and Epsom salts to lift and volumize your hair.

What you need

1 Part Conditioner
1 Part Epsom Salts

This volumizer uses Epsom salts and your favorite conditioner to lift your hair and give it volume. Dry oily hair can drag it down, use the Epsom salts to clean and lift your hair into new heights.

Start by mixing enough for one use. I used 1-2 tbs of conditioner and added 1-2 tbs of Epsom salts.

Mix them together before applying to clean wet hair. Allow the conditioner to sit for 20 mins.

Once the time has passed wash with warm water and pat dry.

Looking for a herbal shampoo? Check out our DIY recipe for making your own natural herbal shampoo with basic supplies. We also have a herbal conditioner recipe.  Home-made shampoos and conditioners are a great way to strip back to basics and control what herbs you are putting into your hair shampoo and products. Store-bought herbal shampoo contains lots of numbers and ingredients that as the consumer we know very little about.

Epsom salts and Magnesium salts are not quite the same things. Epsom salts are Magnesium Sulphate and Magnesium flakes/salts are Magnesium Chloride. So what does that mean for you?

Epsom salt is harder to absorb into the body than a straight magnesium flake. But either is going to do wonders for your body and once you use either of them, you never go back! Either of them are great for the body and mind. They help relax muscles and relieve pain in the body and can promote sleep while also helping to stabilize your mood and relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. Something we all need help with!
