What you need
1 1/4 cups cup of Baking soda or Bicarbonate of Soda
1/2 cup of Citric acid
2-6 tsp of Almond Oil or Apricot kernel oil
1/2-2tbs tbs of Water
5 drops of Food coloring or mica
10-15 drops of fragrance oil or essential oil
Plastic egg shells
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and stir well until everything is evenly blended and there are no visible lumps. This helps the bath bombs hold together better and gives you a smoother finished texture.
Divide the dry mixture between a few smaller bowls, depending on how many colors you want to make. Add a small amount of food coloring to each bowl. You may notice a little fizzing when the color goes in, and that is completely normal. Use your hands to work the color through the mixture so it spreads evenly. Keep mixing until the color looks soft and consistent throughout.
Next, use a spray bottle to lightly mist the mixture. Spray only a little at a time, mixing well after each spray. The goal is to slowly add just enough moisture so the mixture starts to clump together. Test it by squeezing a handful in your palm. When it holds its shape like damp sand, it is ready.
Fill each half of the plastic egg mold with the mixture, pressing it in gently as you go. Once both sides are filled, close the egg and give it a little shake to help the mixture settle into the egg shape.
Be careful not to pack the mixture too tightly. If it is pressed in too firmly, the bath bomb can become difficult to remove from the mold or may crack instead of releasing cleanly. You want it firm enough to hold together, but not so dense that it gets stuck.

What happens once it’s in the mould . Do you leave it over night . What actually makes it set …. So many questions
then what? do you let it dry? how long? do you grease the egg before you pack it? if not does it come out easily?
i wonder if a light spray or pam or baker’s joy would work…
There is no need to use spray in the plastic molds 🙂 http://www.savynaturalista.com/2014/04/11/easter-egg-bath-bombs
