The project is very nice! I have made placemats out of it. I made two praying hands on the placemats by doubling the number of stitches and they turned out very beautiful.

  10. I made two of this pattern and it turned out really nice but i would like to make it in two colors but don’t know how to do the hands in another color and the rest in the second color. is there a pattern that is broken down in two colors.thanks for the beautiful pattern which i will make again just thought i would like it in two colors.

    • Claire, you can make this pattern in two colors using graph paper. Use one symbol for the knit stitches (e.g. an open circle) and one for the purl stitches (e.g. a closed circle) and then color the paper appropriately. This is technically a chart, not a pattern but it will be easy to follow and read. Good luck!

  11. It was very difficult to get the pattern, when I finally got it, it printed out with junk over some of the lines. I had to go the pattern on the computer and copy the lines, a bit discouraging. I am not sure that the pattern looks a much like the picture as I thought it would. I am not sure that anyone will recognize it as praying hands which is why I wanted it.

  12. mojisola orenuga says

I have not made it yet but it appears beautiful, please can I have patterns for knitted placemats with knitting instructions?

  13. Dawn Carrick says

  14. Just finished my first and maybe my last on of these. Is there a change in the pattern that may not have been in the first set? The hand behind does not look right. I had to tell the person I showed it to what it was. I will show a show a few more people for feedback and make my decision then.
