Instructions
This Trick or Treat Footprint Wall Hanging is such a fun and cheeky Halloween craft for kids, and it makes the sweetest little keepsake at the same time. Using your child’s painted footprints, you can turn simple white prints into spooky little ghosts on a black pumpkin-shaped wall hanging.
The original project uses a ready-to-hang Dollar Tree pumpkin decoration, but you could easily recreate the same idea on canvas, cardboard, wood, or even a framed background. A coat of black paint creates the perfect Halloween backdrop, while white non-toxic paint transforms little feet into ghostly characters. Add faces with a black marker or paint pen, then finish it off with the playful phrase “Trick or Treat, Smell Our Feet.”
This is a great Halloween craft for parents, grandparents, classrooms, or playgroups because it is easy, inexpensive, and full of personality. It is also one of those projects you will want to pack away and bring out year after year, especially when those tiny footprints are not so tiny anymore.
For this project we used a ready to hang pumpkin from the dollar tree, but you can create the same design on card, on a frame or even on a canvas.
Simply create your background, in this case it is solid black.
Then apply a thin coat of paint the the foot and stamp it onto the canvas.

Use paint pens and or sharpie pens to create the text and eyes for the ghosts.

The images for this project was contributed by Mary Garcia, thanks for sharing Mary, such a quick and fun Halloween craft idea.

I think it is an awesome idea and something that can be kept for years to come as a keepsake for the child when they grow and have a family of their own. I love the idea.
I love this idea so much. Thank you for sharing.
