Instructions
Print the pattern pieces onto A4 paper. Make sure the pattern prints at full size and does not shrink to fit the page.
Cut two large body pieces from yellow felt. These will form the front and back of the chicken.
Cut the wings from yellow felt. For sturdier wings, use double thickness felt or cut two pieces for each wing and stitch them together before attaching them to the body.
Cut the feet from orange felt. Use double thickness for the feet so they hold their shape better. Stitch around the edges with a small running stitch or blanket stitch.
Cut the beak from orange felt. This can be made from a single layer of felt and folded slightly to give it shape.
Cut the wattle from red felt. Use two layers if you want it to sit forward from the face. Stitch around the edge with blanket stitch.
Cut two white eye circles and two smaller black pupil circles. Stitch or glue the black pupils onto the white eye pieces.
Place the face pieces onto the front body piece before sewing the body together. Move the eyes, beak, and wattle around until you are happy with the expression. A slightly uneven placement gives the chicken a funny, cartoon-style look.
Sew or glue the face pieces into place.
Place the two yellow body pieces together with the wings tucked between the layers at the sides. Pin or clip everything in place.
Stitch around the outside edge of the body, catching the wings securely as you sew. Leave a small gap for stuffing. A good place to leave the opening is behind one wing so

Bird is cute but your site has lost the pattern pieces. So, it sucks.
Chickens can be made to have hilarious expressions and this one is definitely a winner! I want to try it with polar fleece if I can find the colors.
That’s SO CUTE I’m gonna try that! I’ll have to go pick up some felt!
this is so cute!
