Instructions
There’s something wonderfully refreshing about reaching for a cool homemade skincare treatment after a long, hot day. This Frozen Egg & Honey Mask is an old-fashioned DIY beauty recipe made with just three simple ingredients: egg, honey and coconut oil. Once mixed together and chilled until firm, the mixture becomes an easy-to-use cooling skin mask that feels especially soothing when your skin is feeling hot, dry or uncomfortable.
Honey has long been a favourite ingredient in homemade beauty recipes, while coconut oil gives this mask its rich, smooth texture. The egg helps bind everything together, creating a simple DIY face mask that can be poured into an ice cube tray or cardboard tube before chilling.
I particularly like the ice cube tray option because you can make several small portions at once and take out only what you need. Gently glide the chilled mask over the skin, allow it to sit briefly, then rinse it away with warm water for a simple at-home pampering treatment.
This recipe is best thought of as a cooling homemade skincare mask rather than a treatment for sunburn. If your skin is badly burned, blistered or broken, skip homemade products and allow the skin to heal. Always patch-test homemade skincare first, particularly if you have sensitive skin or allergies to eggs, honey or coconut.
Mix the coconut oil and egg together in a bowl .The coconut oil should be liquid not solid, just melt it slightly if your oil is solid.
Add the honey and mix all the ingredients together.
Pour the mixture into a cardboard tube or an empty toilet roll. This allows the mixture to set in a solid cylinder making it easier to apply.
Alternatively you can pour the mix into ice cube trays.
Refrigerate the mix overnight or until solid.
Then apply to the face. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

A GOOD MASK I TRIED.
Good recipe and easy to do.
