Easter Kitchen Basket – Dollar Tree Carrot Hack

5 packages of Dollar Tree Carrots

Dollar Tree Wire Basket

1 package Dollar Tree nautical rope (mine was the 11.4 ft one)

Hot Glue Gun/ Glue sticks

To begin, you will need to start by adding a line of hot glue around the bottom edge of your wire basket.

Take your nautical rope and place it on top of the glue, making sure to press it down firmly to ensure that it adheres well to the basket. Continue adding lines of glue and placing the nautical rope on top until you have used up the entire length of rope.

You may need to go around the basket multiple times with the rope, depending on the size of your basket and the length of your rope. As you work, be sure to add a line of glue wherever the wire sections of the basket meet, as this will help the rope to stick better and provide additional support.

Once you have completed wrapping the basket with the nautical rope, it’s time to start adding the carrots.

Take a carrot and apply a line of hot glue down one side. Press it firmly onto the basket, making sure that the glue adheres well. Continue adding carrots to the basket in this way, covering the entire surface of the basket until it is completely covered.

If you choose to line your basket with fabric, you can do so at this point. Simply apply a line of hot glue around the inside rim of the basket and press the fabric down onto it, smoothing it out as you go to remove any wrinkles or creases.
