Knitted Needle Case

A simple to do way to make cases for your knitting needles.

What you need

Any size needles
Any yarn
Needle for sewing up edge

 

Instructions

Cast On 20 stitches,and knit your favorite stitch until your bag is 3 inches longer than your longest needle.Bind/Cast Off.

Belt Loops:Cast on 8 stitches and knit for 1 1/2 inches. Bind/Cast Off.

Variations: Cast on more stitches to make the bag wide enough to house large circular needles

  2. i making something exactly like this except its more rectangular and the flap is going to be bigger then the holder for it 🙂 i like this idea!

    Here’s my solution to this one: Put your needles in pointed side up or sew in a liner 1/4 the way up on the inside b4 you stitch up the bag. Need help: aileen_clifford@hotmail.com =)

  10. interesting project…maybe try to spice it up a little by adding sequins and beads…gud project for beginners.

  21. This can be done in crochet to hold crochet hooks too! Thank-you. I always wondered how to store those safely without breaking off the the tips of the fine needles!

  25. thatz a really good idea…and i dont think that someone would use size 00 needles and cobweb yarn for this pattern,because its obvious that it wont work..um this is a very good way to practice siimple knittin and i will defienly make this one..

    use beltloops to put on ur belt….just thread ur belt through the loops in stead of the loops on the jeans..an to put it together u can sew up the ends.DUH! and finally cant u read?!”cast on more stitches to make it bigger.”well ithink i covered it all
