Garland – Felt Trees

Garland – Felt Trees

Learn how to make a home-style garland using felt or recycled fabrics. This is perfect decoration for Christmas!

What you need

Felt in various colors
Scissors
3-4 yards (3-4mts) of Cord or ribbon

Instructions

Start by printing out the template below into your desired size for your garland.

Xmas Tree Template

Then cut out the template and pin it to your fabric and cut out the tree pattern. Depending on how long you want your garland to be you will need around 6-20 trees.

For extra stability you can use cardboard to back the fabric. Do this by cutting out 2 tree patterns for each tree. 1 in cardboard and one in felt and then glue them together.

To finish off this project glue your Christmas trees to a small loop of the ribbon or cord and then thread them onto a long length for hanging as shown in the picture.

Hang it along a wall or across a room!
