Beautiful Crochet Pumpkin Pattern

Here is a beautiful pattern for a crochet pumpkin in various sizes. What would a ThanksGiving be without you creating some of these for decorations around the house or for a party? You will love the colors and the joy that these designs will bring. They are super easy to create, so get started!

What you need

Hooks:
Crochet hook size (4.0 mm)

Sizes: 4 sizes- 4.5 inches,3.2 inches, 2.5 inches, 1.6 inches.

Materials: Fine Acrylic Yarn, Needle for weaving in ends.

Notes: Chain sts in beginning of row do not count as first st unless otherwise stated. You will always close the down hole sewing it.

Instructions

Light Pink Pumpkin (3.2 inches large)

R1- Magic Circle, 15 sc in ring, join

R2- ch1, 1 hdc same st, 2 hdc each st across. Join.

R3- (increase) ch1, #2 sc at one st, 1 sc next#, repeat all row this method. Join

R4 to 10-ch1, 1 sc each st across, join.

R11- ch1, #2 sc tog, 1 sc repeat all row# . Join.

R12-ch1, 1 sc each st across. Join

R13-Repeat row 11

R14- ch1, 1 sc each st across. Join

Done

Tops

Magic Ring, 5 sc in ring, join

Work rows around, 1 sc each st across, do not join. Work about 5 rounds to make it long.

R1-Ch10- work back 1 sc each st across, do not join

R2-ch1, 1 sc each st across. You need 4 rows. After that sew it , join both sides like a cigarette.

Big Green base-

R1- Magic ring, 14 sc in ring, join.

R2- ch2, hdc same st, #2 hdc each st across# all round. Join.

R3- starting a leave: right where you are from round 2, ch10, work back: sc, hdc, 1 dc each st across until you met again the circle. Jump 2 sts, join to the circle. You will be making these leaves around, and joining each 4th st.

Small leaves

Work in a magic ring:

– #sc, hdc, dc, picot of3, dc, hdc, sc# this is a petal at the magic ring. You will work a total of 3.

NOTE: The green tail at the cream and grey pumpkins can be a simple chain 5 worked back with slip st or sc.

Small Cream Pumpkin (1.6 inches)

R1- Magic Circle, (6) sc in ring, join.

R2- ch1, 1 hdc same st, 2 hdc each st across. Join.

R3- (increase) ch1, #2 sc at one st, 1 sc next, repeat all row, join

R4 to 5-ch1, 1 sc each st across, join.

R6- #2 sc tog, 1 sc#, all row. Close the hole (sew).

Grey Pumpkin (2.5 inches)

R1- Magic Circle, 10 sc in ring, join

R2- ch1, hdc same st, 2 hdc each st across.

R3- (increase) ch1, #2 sc at one st, 1 sc next, repeat all row

R4 to 9-ch1, 1 sc each st across, join.

R10- ch1, #2 sc tog, 1 sc repeat all row.Join.

R11-ch1, 1 sc each st across. Join

R12-Repeat row 10.Join

Big Big Pumpkin (4.5 inches)

R1- Strong Pink– Magic Circle, 20 sc in ring, join

R2- ch1,1 hdc same st, 2 hdc each st across. Join.

R3- (increase) ch1, #2 sc at one st, 1 sc next, repeat all row. Join

R4 to 11-ch1, 1 sc each st across, join.

R12 to 15-change to Cream, repeat, 1 sc each st across, join.

R16 and 17- Light Pink yarn now, repeat like previous rows. Join

R 18- ch1, #2 sc tog, 1 sc repeat all row. Join.

R19-ch1, 1 sc each st across. Join

R20- insert yarn inside , repeat row 18 and continue to work rounds to close the pumpkin down hole the best you can.

Done!
