This Halloween themed wreath is made with some basic plastic Halloween decorations that you can pick up at any Dollar tree or discount store.

These Halloween wreaths are loads of fun and perfect for younger families who still go trick or treating at Halloween time.

Instructions

Cut 20-30 24-inch long sections of orange tulle ribbon. Working one at a time, fold the section of ribbon in half, place it under the wreath frame, then thread the two loose ends of the ribbon section through the loop created by folding it in half. Pull this tight and repeat until the entire wreath is covered. I chose to just utilize the inner three tines of the wreath frame so that the final outer tine would help support the tulle ribbons and keep them from curling behind the wreath.

Trim the edges of the tulle ribbon sections to be equally distant from the wreath frame to form a perfect (mostly) circle.

Cut off the handle from the candy bucket.

Thread a length of black ribbon through each of the handle holes in the pumpkin, then affix those to the wire wreath frame and position the ribbons to hold the pumpkin where you’d like it to be vertically within the wreath center. I wanted it to be a little lower than center so that the candy could sit up proud of the pumpkin’s edge. Tie the ribbon tight.

Inspect the way you’d like your candy bucket to be positioned with respect to the wall. I wanted most of the pumpkin to stick out from the wreath, so I then used the tin snips to cut off the back ⅓ of the pumpkin bucket.

Hot glue the fake rats and snakes and whatnot in place on the wreath. I even cut one of the rats in half and positioned it to be “come out” of the pumpkin’s mouth.

Place the large candy boxes against the wreath (not the pumpkin) and hot glue them in place to look like they’re coming out of the pumpkin. Add the small candy boxes, as desired and enjoy
