Handmade Baseball Bracelet

Handmade Baseball Bracelet

Have a baseball fanatic in the family? Make this handmade bracelet for them as a gift!

What you need

NEW OR OLD BASEBALL, A PENCIL OR PEN, EXACTO KNIFE OR RAZOR BLADE, A CLASP FROM AN OLD NECKLACE OR A CRAFT STORE AND A BOWL OF WATER

Instructions

Step 1: First you will need to draw a line around the red stitches as close as possible but not too close .

Step 2: Take your exacto/razor blade and very carefully cut along the drawn line. You may need to go over it a few times because the baseball is thick.

Step 3: Pull the cut strand of stitches off of the baseball maybe be kinda tough. And remove all excess strings that are attached.

Step 4: You will need to place the cut strand of stitches in a bowl of warm or cold water for about an hour.

Step 5: I used tacks and put  the cut strand on the wall and tacked it down so it was as flat and straight as i could get it. Every now and then i would come back and readjust it to make sure it was getting straight.

Step 6: Trim along the sides of the stitches to make it all even and neat and as thick or thin as you would like it to be.

Step 7: You will need to undo atleast 3 or four stitches of the red thread long enough to tie a knot with. Do this on both ends of the bracelet. (i undid a few threads then i put it around my wrist to make sure it wasn’t going to be to big or small) if this is for a child then you might want to cut off a little from the end of the bracelet before you begin to unthread!

Step 8: You will tie a very secure knot around the clasp you want to use (using the red thread you just un threaded) and do the same for the other end of the bracelet and clasp.

Step 9: Wear it and be very satisfied.
