Patriotic Scrunchie Crochet Pattern

This Fourth of July project shows you how to crochet a patriotic scrunchie for 4th of july celebrations or costumes.

What you need

Small amounts of Red, White and Blue Red Heart Super Saver, Medium Worsted Weight Yarn (or Sport yarn)
Large Ponytail Elastic (Goody or Scunchi used for sample)
Size G (or F hook)

Instructions

Directions with Blue Rnd 1) Sc around ponytail elastic. Make 30 Sc (33 Sc if using sport yarn) or until elastic band is covered completely. Join.

Rnd 2) Ch 1. Sc in same space. *Ch 3, Skip 1 Sc, 1 Sc in next Sc. Rep from*around. Join to first Sc. Fasten off Blue.

Rnd 3) With White; Join with Sc to any Ch 3 loop. *Ch 3, Sc in next loop. Rep*around. Join. Fasten off White.

Rnd 4) With Red, join with Sc to any Ch 3 loop. Ch *Ch 4, Sc in next loop. Rep*around. Join.

Rnd 5) SL St to first loop. Ch 2, 4 Hdc in same loop. *Sl St in Sc, 5 Hdc in next loop. Rep*around. End with Sl St in last Sc.

Fasten off.
