Dollar Tree Splatter Screen – Skeleton Decoration

This Halloween tutorial shows you how to take a Dollar tree splatter screen or splatter guard to create a Halloween Decoration.

Black/purple roses and pumpkin embellishments for base
Craft Glue
White spray paint
Black felt or black Duct tape
Rope for handle

Instructions

This Halloween tutorial shows you how to take a Dollar tree splatter screen or splatter guard to create a Halloween Decoration using low-cost Halloween supplies from discount stores.

Start by painting your screens white with spray paint and allowing them to dry. The face is easiest to attach when the screen is laid flat and firm on a table so it is best to add the face to your decoration next. This tutorial uses felt but you could use a duct tape too. Lay out the face design and allow to dry.

Take two of your screens and bend the handles back, this will form the base as shown in the image below.

If you are using it as a door wreath then you would cut or unscrew these handles so that your Halloween splatter screen wreath will sit flat against your door.

Lay them out and glue into place.  Finish off by adding flowers and decorations to the base.  Don’t forget to wrap the top handle with ribbon or rope.
