Crochet Angel Fridgie

Crochet a perfect angel for a Christmas time decoration! This angel has got a halo as well.

What you need

Red heart baby sport pompadour – White
one – 1 1/8″ cabone (plastic) ring
one pair of nylon wings (4¾”)
one – ½” paper rose
1/8″ satin ribbon
five – 3/16″ pearl beads
magnet strip
Crochet hook size F
Approx. 6″ tall

Instructions

To begin, join yarn with sc to plastic ring. Work 2 5sc in ring. Join with sl st to beg sc. [26sc]

Rnd 1: Ch3, 2dc in front loop of same sp as joining, 3dc in front loop of next st, turn, working in back loops of sts you just worked in 3dc in each of the next two stitches. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. [12dc]

Rnd 2: Ch3, dc in same sp as ch-3, 2dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. [24dc]

Rnd 3: Ch3, dc in same sp as ch-3, 2dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. [48dc starting skirt

Rnd 4: Skipping first 38 sc’s from joining (this puts your “seam” in the back of the fridgie), join with sc to 39th st from joining, sc in each of next 4 sts, skip next 14 sts, sc in next 10 sts, skip next 14 sts, sc in last 5 sts. Join with sl st to beg sc. [20sc]

Rnd 5: Ch3, dc in same sp as ch-3, 1dc in next st, *2dc in next st, 1dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. [30dc]

Rnds 6-9: Ch3, 1dc in each st around. Join with slst to top of beg ch-3. [30dc] Rnd 10: Ch1, sc in same sp as ch-1, *skip next st, 5dc in next st, skip next st, sc in next st. Repeat from * 5 more times, skip next st, 5dc in next st, skip last three sts. Join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.

Halo

With front side of angel facing you attach yarn with sl st to the first free stitch of halo, *Ch3, sl st in 1st ch of ch-3, skip next st, sl st in next st.

Repeat from * around. Fasten off. Weave in all loose ends.

Holding two pieces of 1/8″ ribbon together, tie in a bow and glue to front waist of angel. Glue paper rose on top of bow.

Glue wings to back of angel. Tie small scrap of 1/8″ ribbon into a tiny bow and glue to top part of halo. Glue 4 of the beads on the tip of the scallops at the bottom of the angels dress and the last bead to the center neck line.

Glue strip of magnet to back of angel.

  3. I have to agree with \Patricia Lambert. There is something wrong with this pattern. It seems that there is a whole section missing. Can you correct this? I really want to make this angel.

    • Yearsssss and yearssss back I asked for the corrected pattern and was told it was fine the way it was, that it worked for the author who implied something was wrong on my end. Here now it’s 2015 and I don’t think we’ll ever see the corrected version and will have to make up our own.

  4. I couldn’t get it to work. It says for skirt skip 38 singles but you have doubles. Is something missing in the directions. It’s so pretty but just can’t seem to make it work . Help
