Egg Cover
Cast on 25 stitches.
Work 4 rows in rib.
Work 8 rows in stocking stitch.
Shape Top
Row 13: (K4, K2tog) to last stitch, K1
Row 14: Sl1, purl to last stitch, K1
Row 15: (K3, K2tog) to last stitch, K1
Row 16: Sl1, purl to last stitch, K1
Row 17: (K2, K2tog) to last stitch, K1
Row 18: Sl1, purl to last stitch, K1
Row 19: (K1, K2tog) to last stitch, K1
Row 20: Sl1, purl to last stitch, K1
Row 21: (K2tog) to last stitch, K1 (5 stitches remain)
Cut the yarn, leaving a short tail.
Thread the yarn tail through the remaining stitches, pull up tightly, and fasten securely.
Sew up the side seam to form the egg cover.

Fasten off, leaving a short tail.
Thread the tail onto a sewing needle and weave in and out around the outer edge. Pull tight to gather into a fluffy tail shape.
Sew the tail onto the back of the egg cover.
Face
Embroider the face using a length of dark coloured yarn.
You can keep it simple with:
- two small eyes
- a nose
- whiskers if desired
