What you need
1/2 cup of shea butter
Essential oils of choice (optional)
Ice cube tray or suitable mold
Instructions
Start by melting down your Shea Butter. I used the microwave at 30 second intervals for my butter. Next stir in 10-15 drops of an essential oil of your choice. I used a tired legs blend but you could use whatever you like.
Pour the mixture into the ice cube tray. Allow several hours to set in the fridge. Once set place into an air tight container and store in the fridge.
When required, use one block and watch as the luxurious butter melts as it touches your skin.
Both ideas sound great what can you used instead of essential oils
Love the idea. Did anyone try using coconut oil?
Great idea! These would be really cute if poured into a shaped ice cube tray.
Has anyone tried this with coconut oil? Coconut oil is solid until you raise the temp to 76 degrees. I’d think it would be a nice substitute if you don’t have shea butter.
great idea about the coconut oil, if it works… i know costco has a big tub of it… (non-gmo, organic, etc) regularly, so it’d be an easy ‘get’.
cant find shea butter here, so I will try the coconut
