This tutorial is perfect for those who are new to DIY or for those who are looking for a quick and easy project to work on. All of the materials you’ll need can be found at Dollar Tree, making it an affordable and accessible project for all.
The supplies you’ll need are Dollar Tree Kids Plastic Shovel (they have them in yellow and red), Dollar Tree Eucalyptus, Dollar Tree Burlap Ribbon, Dollar Tree White Gerber Daisy Bunch, Hot Glue Gun, Black Spray Paint, Dollar Tree Twine, Zip tie, Scissors.
The instructions for this tutorial are easy to follow and include detailed steps.
To start, apply 2 coats of black spray paint to the shovel.
While the paint is drying, you’ll make the bow by taking 12 inches of the burlap lace ribbon and creating 2 loops, then using a zip tie to secure it in the middle and then cutting the ends of the bow to the desired length.
Once the shovel is completely dry, add a line of glue and add a couple of pieces of the eucalyptus to both sides.
Next, add some glue to the bow and add one of the Gerber daisies and then add some hot glue to the backside of the bow and press firmly onto the shovel.
On the top handle of the shovel, add a dab of hot glue and wrap the twine around the entire handle, cutting the end and then using a dab of hot glue to secure the end piece.
By following these instructions, you’ll be able to create your own beautiful farmhouse-style decoration or wreath that looks like it came from a high-end store, but at a fraction of the cost.
This project is a great way to add some charm and personality to your home decor and make it unique.
