1. Choose and Prepare Your Branch

• Look for a branch with lots of smaller offshoots—it will give you plenty of spots to hang decorations. 
• Remove any leaves and dirt, then let it dry completely if it’s fresh from the yard. 

2. Paint Your Tree

• Lay down a drop cloth or newspaper outside. 
• Spray paint your branch black for an instant spooky transformation. 
• For a shimmery effect, lightly mist with silver or purple glitter spray once the black paint is dry. 

3. Secure It in a Base

• Place floral foam or set plaster of Paris inside your vase or bucket. 
• Insert the branch into the center and make sure it’s standing straight. 
• Cover the top with moss, pebbles, or shredded paper to hide the base. 

4. Add Lights (Optional but Magical)

• Wrap fairy lights loosely around the branches.
