Instructions

Instructions:
Start (Row 1)
Start with a slip knot and then stitch 4 chains. Form a ring with the chain by joining the last chain
stitch with the current chain.
Row 2
Chain 3 and then work a double crochet through the ring. Continue the stitch for this round until
there’s a total of 12 double crochet around the ring. Insert your hook into the top of the first stitch
of the row and work a chain stitch into it.
Row 3
Chain 3 again and this time work a dc into the same chain again. Work 2 dc into every next stitch.
Continue to work 2 dc into each chain until there’s 24 dc in this round.
Row – 4
Chain 3 again and then work a dc into the same stitch. Work a dc into the next stitch and then 2 dc
into the next. Continue to work 2 dc into one stitch and 1 dc into the next stitch. Slip stitch into the
first stitch to close this round.
Row – 5:
Chain 3 again and then work a dc into the same stitch. Work 1 dc into the next 2 stitches (2 nd and
3 rd ) and then 2 dc into the 4th. Continue to work 2 dc into one stitch and 1 dc into the next 2 stitches
until the entire round is covered. Slip stitch into the first stitch to close this round.
Step – 6:
You can keep increasing the size of the round crochet piece until you are satisfied with the size.
Once the coaster round crochet base is complete, work a slip stitch and draw the yarn to the back
side; and cut off extra yarn.

Step – 7:
Use a white yarn and a tapestry needle to stitch the thorns of the cactus on the round crochet piece.
Also, attach a colourful crochet flower to the coaster, near its open end.
