Comments

  1. Could always line it with soft material like fleece or blanket fleece that’s micro soft? Just a thought.

  2. Karen Boml says

Like the hat; however, wool could be irritating to those going thru chemo…..what weight yarn was used so I could make it with something other than wool?

  3. My Mother used to crochet, so during the summer I’d frequent yard sales, and buy up whatever was around. And for her birthday, and Christmas, I’d get her yarn. She’s passed on now, and I’ve been diagnosed with cancer. So! I’m knitting up the yarn she had left (3 totes!), and bringing them with me to my oncologist appt. They have a “tree” that volunteers can hang their hats and those in need can choose them. A big big “thank you” for these free patterns!

  4. I am all for knitting for chemo patients which I don’t have to go to far, my daughter is one of them so here I am knitting for he. Thank you for having free patterns

  5. I think if every knitter knitted even one chemo cap and donated to their local cancer center there would be enough caps. There are a lot of knitters out there and it sure wouldn’t hurt any of us to do one cap to help out

  6. Dorothea Cope says

I think it’s great! A cancer center in Simi Valley,CA has a huge box of hats that patients are encouraged to choose from. Wonderful people just drop in with their gifts and quietly slip away. Leavey Cancer Ctr in Northridge CA could use the same program. I am a pt at the Leavey ctr. Thank you to all those who donate their time and talents.

  7. Very informative blog for cancer patient.

  8. it great for cancer patients
