Boo Boo Bunny

Boo Boo Bunny

These face washer bunnies are great for children's little boo boo's. Simply place an ice cube in the middle. Alternatively, you can soak this in water and place the whole bunny in the freezer (in a bag) to be used as an ice pack.

What you need

Face washer
wobbly eyes
ribbon
elastic band
small gift

Instructions

How to make the bunny:

Roll the towel diagonally from either side into the center.

bunny1

Fold the rolled length in half.

bunny2

Half way down this folded length place the elastic around it to secure it in place. This rounded section forms the body.

bunny-3

The two loose ends that are remaining form the ears. Fold the ear section back onto the body forming the head. Secure with elastic.

You can leave the ears floppy or make them pointy.

Finish the bunny off by tying the ribbon around the head.

Add the wobble eyes with glue.

Boo Boo Bunny Poems

I’m the Boo-Boo Bunny
I turn sad faces into funny
To keep your hand from getting cold,
Don’t unwrap or unfold
Just put an ice cube in my shell,
And I will make your boo-boo well.

—————————–

Boo Boo Bunny is here today,
To help your boo boo go away
This funny, fuzzy, furry friend,
Will cool the hurt to help it end.
She’ll make the ouch go bye-bye fast,
So hold her until the pain has passed
And when the boo-boo is all through,
She’ll still be here to play with you.

——————————

When the tears begin to flow,
From a bruise or bump or blow,
Boo-Boo Bunny is so nice,
In its tummy holding ice,
Gently soothing all the while,
Sadness turning into a smile

————————–

If a boo-boo has you feeling crummy,
Stick an ice cube in my tummy.
Hold it to your boo-boo tight,
Soon everything will be alright!

———————————

Throughout the years of growing
No matter how we try
There’s just no way the boo-boos
Will ever pass us by
So I’m your Boo Boo Bunny
I’ll hold a cube of ice
Then put me close to where it hurts
And I’ll make it feel real nice

  1. This is adorable and so simple to make! I used a white hair tie instead of a rubber band, hot glue gunned google eyes and added a cotton ball for a tail! I found an 18 pk of plastic ice cubes at the dollar store for a buck so I forsee many more of these being made for gifts!

  2. Great project for all ages!!

I make Boo Boo Pets and sell them on etsy. I make lots of different animals… look me up on etsy, username: Thoughtfulcreation or search for Boo Boo Pets on etsy.

  3. This this is soooo helpful when i play with little kids i keep it in my pocken and put hose water on it. it also helps on a really sunny day!!!!

  4. …how come people are talking about buying “ice cubes”??? to make ice cubes, dont you just pour water into the mold, pop it into the freezer for a while, and then pop them out…?

  5. Amazon.com has reusable ice cubes in a variety of colors–not too expensive –around $8 dollars for 24.

  6. I found the “ice cubes” at Bed Bath and Beyond… I was told that they are seasonal, but they said that their website usually has them. Hope you find them!

  7. This is one of my favorite crafts, but I have been unable to find the ice cubes at my local craft stores (JoAnn’s, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby). I have searched online to no avail – does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks! ~ jennamcfarland@yahoo.com

  8. Very cute

  9. A small pony tail rubber band might last longer than a standard rubber band. They come in various colors and some even have little bows attached to them.

  10. Thats so sweet!

I love this craft it’s my favourite

  12. I think sewing around the neck instead of the rubberband makes it last for year. The rubberbands eventually dry out.

  13. ^-^ I find these truly adorable, and the poems are so cute!
