Quick Valentine’s Day Craft: Candy Coaster

This Valentine's Day craft tutorial shows you how to make a quick coaster for a dinner or picnic.

What you need

Conversation hearts Candies
Craft Coaster (plain wood) or Heavy Cardboard
Craft Glue
Spray Adhesive
Craft paint

Instructions

Start by painting the coaster any color you wish – we used a pink to match our conversation heart candies

Glue the hearts into place with craft glue  and then allow to dry.

Finish off the coaster with a gentle coat of spray varnish. Don’t apply it too thick as it will cause the candy to become wet and start to dissolve and fizz.

Once you have one coat of spray varnish on allow to dry and apply another light coat.
