Scarf Necklace

Be fashionable at the same time as keeping warm! Make this scarf necklace using this knitting pattern.

What you need

Trendsetter Yarns Coconut Perla: one (1)
50 gram skein (66 yards),
color 6 (red/gold sparkles)
US 10 knitting needles

Instructions

Cast on 12 stitches loosely, using your preferred method.

Work six rows of garter stitch (you will see 3 ridges on each side of your piece).

Switch to stockinette stitch.

* Row 1 of Stockinette (knit row): k1, p1, k8, p1, k1 (the added purl stitch works against curling edges)

Row 2 of Stockinette (purl row): k1, p10, k1*

Repeat between *s until reaching desired length MINUS 2.5 inches.

Work six rows of garter stitch.

Bind off loosely. Cut yarn, leaving enough to weave in ends.

Weave in ends.

Wear!
