Finishing

Lightly block scarf. Trim loose ends.

Blocking scarf

To block scarves use hot iron and kitchen size towel wet. Lay scarf on iron board or hard surface and place wet towel over scarf, lightly press iron on towel, do not move but just quickpress. This steams the scarf and flattens it out so it lays nice. Repeat for full length of scarf. As you steam press be sure you shape if needed. Let dry for at least 15 minutes.

If you leave iron on to long or press hard you can ruin scarf.

Comments

  1. Can’t wait to try it but what does dec sc over mean??? It is used in a few places along with dec in other places as well. Thanks

  2. Erica Santos says

I’m stuck on that part too… were you able to figure it out?

  3. Ann Simmons says

I need help with the way you worded your project please. For example, what does 2 sc, sc 6 times, 2 sc mean?

  4. I am using from my staff and wonder if someone can tell me if the full skeins of each color are used? Partial skeins? Thanks

  5. finding it hard to start, is there a tutorial for this scarf?

  6. C.-G. Segar says

how do you print the instructions, trying to teach my granddaughter, but couldn’t print!!

  7. Jennifer Juwer says

Loved this project, however I made it my own by using red, white, and blue yarn. I alsodid the project with double crochets to make Iit go faster. I made it wider too. It turned out great!

  8. I finished my scarf but it doesn’t curve around at the and like in the picture 🙁

  9. I am having trouble at 147 too.??

    great idea!

  12. I believe there is an error on row 147. If done as directed, there would be 1 extra stitch left over from previous row. Can you please clarify?

  13. Its pretty cool for a Christmas Gift!

  14. Its preety cool for a Christmas Gift!

  15. I think it is neat! The first part you start out red, is it supposed to be a triangle shape or straight across? Thank you!

  16. the thing is you have way too many steps you should just say repeat until desired length

  17. its quite average but pretty cool
