Patriotic Quote Blocks

Patriotic Quote Blocks

Learn to make these patriotic quote blocks with a little bit of paint and a lot of imagination. Perfect 4th of July activity.

What you need

Craft Paint – Deep Burgundy, Prussian Blue, and Off White
Foam Brush
Three 1 1/2″ blocks (various lengths)
Vinyl letters
Ribbon
Hand Sander or Sand paper

Instructions

Step 1: Using a chop saw, cut 1 1/2″ blocks from a 2×4 board to measure 5″, 6″, and 7″ and sand edges. If you do not feel comfortable using a saw, most hardware stores will cut wood for you or you can buy blocks already cut at most craft stores that sell craft wood.

Step 2: Paint blocks and set aside to let dry. When paint is completely dry hand sand edges with sand paper and wipe dry with cloth.

Step 3: Apply vinyl or glue and smooth out any air bubbles with a squeegee- making sure to apply left to right and work down. Once vinyl is applied- tie a ribbon around and display!
