This recipe shows you how to make a topical application Epsom Salt Lotion. It's got all the benefits of Epsom salts and you can take it and use it anywhere without the need for water or a bath.
What you need
1/2 cup of Epsom Salts
3/4 cup of warm water
2 cups of moisturizer lotion (thick as possible)
Epsom salts have amazing health benefits but being able to soak in a tub of Epsom salts
This lotion does tends to settle after a few days, so I like to keep mine in a container that is easy to shake and mix up if it separates. Make sure you mix it before applying it. This lotion is salty so you may want to avoid any open wounds or delicate skin areas.
Epsom salts, also known as magnesium sulfate and is sold as magnesium flakes. Epsom is the name of a saline/ salt spring at Epsom in Surrey, England. These salts are known to help with fatigue, headaches, muscle aches, insomnia and cramps. Fun fact: Did you know Magnesium can be drunk in water and comes in tablet form.

Mix the water and salt together and stir until all the salt crystals are dissolved.
Next pour in the lotion base (any basic brand) and mix well. You may need to use a whisk to combine it.
Pour into a clean jar or container.
How to use
Apply to the skin like a normal moisturiser. It is great for burns, stings and aching tired joints.
