Break off OR, if you would like your poncho longer, continue make rows following the above pattern until desired length is reached.

Fringe:

Cut several lengths of yarn 16 inches each. A good way to do this is to cut a piece of stiff cardboard 16 inches long, wind the yarn around the cardboard several times, then cut across all lengths at one end.

Attach fringe lengths to bottom rows of work, one at a time in a neat row using a larks head knot. (fold yarn in half, slip loop through work, insert ends into loop on other side and pull tight).

Front Tie:

Cut a piece of yarn approx 4 times longer than the centre front. Fold in half and weave each half through ch spaces up centre front, ending about 4 rows below top. Snug up and tie.

Neck Tie:

Attach a 20 inch long piece of yarn to neck side that does not have yarn tail, weave in end and use the two yarn lengths for neck tie;

Note: You can disregard the centre lacing, use the neck tie instead and leave poncho hanging open in front.
