What you need
An “I” sized crochet hook and the worsted weight yarn of your choice or a “G” sized crochet hook and the baby yarn of your choice.
Instructions
Ch 4, join with a slip st to the first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch5 ( counts as 1dc, ch2 throughout pattern) [1dc, ch2] 5 times in the ring. join with a slip st in third ch of beginning ch5.
Round 2: Slip st into next ch space, ch5, [1dc, ch2] once in same ch space as ch5. [1dc, ch2] twice in each of the remaining ch spaces. Join with a slip st in third ch of beginning ch 5.
Round 3: slip st into next ch space, ch5, [1dc, ch2] twice in next ch space, *[1dc, ch2] once in next ch space, [1dc, ch2] twice in next ch space. Repeat from * to end of round. join with a slip st in third ch of beginning ch5.
Round 4: Slip st into next ch space, ch5, [1dc, ch2] once in same space as ch5, [1dc, ch2] once in each of the next two ch spaces. *[1dc, ch2] twice in the next ch space, [1dc, ch2] once in each of the next two ch spaces. Repeat from * to end of round. Join with a slip st in third ch of beginning ch5.
Rounds 5-8: Slip st into next ch space, ch5, [1dc, ch2] once in each of the remaining ch spaces. Join with a slip st in third ch of beginning ch5.
Round 9: 1sc in each dc and 2sc in each ch space to end of round. Join with aslip st in beginning ch1.
Round 10: ch1, *1sc in next st, ch1, skip next sc. Repeat from * to end of round. Join with a slip st in beginning ch1. Fasten off and trim end yarns
Round 10 forms the eyelet round through which you will thread the tie. to make the tie, crochet a tie 100 ch long. knot it off and trim the ends and thread it through the eyelet round.
It’s really easy and pretty when it’s done. I like doining it with the smaller hook and yarn better because it gives it more of a lacy look. It’s also a great way to use up scrap yarn that you don’t know what else to do with and it makes a great last minute gift.
