Advent Calendar Using Brown Paper Bags

This Christmas craft tutorial shows you how to make a simple advent calender using brown paper bags, string and pegs.

What you need

24 brown paper bags
4 mts of 5 yards of string or cord
24+ wooden pegs
Printable Numbers from Skip to my Lou (see below).
Craft glue
24 assorted activities or treats for the calender bags

Instructions

Start by printing off the numbers from the Skiptomylou website.

You can also create your own using a marker pen and some wrapping paper if you prefer.

My bags are filled with craft activities, coloring sheets and other fun Christmas themed kids activities.

Simply fill each bag and hang onto the string. Use strong nails or 3M hooks to take the weight of the bags.

If you have something that doesn’t fit into a bag or is too heavy, write a little note inside and simply collect it for the children.

You could even provide them with a treasure map to find it.
