Adidas Inspired Baby Sneaker Booties – Free Crochet Pattern

Baby shoes are always adorable, but sometimes you want something with a little extra style – and that’s where these sporty Adidas-inspired crochet booties come in. They’re worked up just like little sneakers, complete with a shaped sole, toe detailing, tongue, and crocheted laces. The three stripes on the sides and the optional back heel label give them that signature Adidas look we all know and love.

What you need

  • DK or thin worsted yarn (sample shown in black & white)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook (for 3–6 months, go up one size)
  • Yarn needle for sewing stripes and label

Scissors

Instructions

I made mine in a classic black-and-white combo for that timeless sneaker vibe, but you could easily go with pink-and-white for something sweeter, or even bold brights to match your baby’s personality. These make brilliant baby shower gifts because they’re not just practical (keeping toes warm) but also a total conversation piece.

The pattern uses only a small amount of yarn and basic stitches, with some shaping at the toe to create the sporty structure. Don’t be put off by the details—once you finish the sole, the rest works up quickly. I’ve included all stitch counts and clear directions so you won’t get lost.

So grab your yarn, put your favorite playlist on, and crochet a pair of mini Adidas-style sneakers for the tiniest trendsetter in your life.

Comments

  1. These are adorable, but the pattern is confusing when I get to the toe. Is the toe just a triangle-shaped piece on the front? How do the heel and sides attach to it? Or does the heel and sides piece overlap the toe? When I make the tongue, how do I put 10 stitches in the toe when it finished with one stitch?
