Epsom Salt Glowing Facial

Epsom Salt Glowing Facial

This tutorial shows you how to mix Epsom salts and honey to create an exfoliating facial that will leave your skin glowing.

What you need

2 tbs Honey
2 tbs of Epsom salts

Instructions

Epsom salts are amazing for the face and skin. They flush toxins from skin, exfoliate dead skin, remove blackheads, clean skin and treat acne.

So mixing the salt with the healing benefits of honey sounds totally perfect!

Mix the two ingredients together.

Gently apply the mixture to your face and allow it to sit on your skin for around 30 minutes.

It will drip and stick a little so rinse and have some clean up clothes handy for stray drips.

Rinse with warm water and apply your favorite moisturizer.

Hope it works well for you!

Epsom salts have amazing health benefits. They are also known as magnesium sulfate and are widely sold as magnesium flakes. Epsom is the name of a saline/salt spring at Epsom in Surrey, England.  These salts can help with fatigue, headaches, muscle aches, insomnia, cramps. They are also referred to as magnesium bath or bath salts and are most commonly used in hot water as a bath or a soak. Did you know magnesium can be drunk in water and comes in tablet form.

Epsom salts and magnesium flakes help improve the body’s natural detoxification process.

Epsom salts and Magnesium salts are not quite the same things. Epsom salts are Magnesium Sulphate and Magnesium flakes/salts are Magnesium Chloride. So what does that mean for you?

Epsom salt is harder to absorb into the body than a straight magnesium flake. But either is going to do wonders for your body and once you use either of them, you never go back! Either of them are great for the body and mind. They help relax muscles and relieve pain in the body and can promote sleep while also helping to stabilize your mood and relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. Something we all need help with!

Comments

  1. Epsom salts are NOT salt….they are a mineral called magnesium sulphate. It is naturally occurring and good for you in reasonable amounts. Very good for soft skin. Google it.

  2. In Spa Massage class we were taught to NEVER put salt on the face. Facial tissue is too thin an sensitive. You can use Sugar (even Brown Sugar) as an exfoliation.

so simple, will try this out, thank you.

  4. If your fresh out of epsom salt can u use koser salt? Will you get the same benefits the epsom salt gives you? Oh one more thing; what is the frequency of usage for this facial?
