DblV: (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in designated sp
With green, ch 10, join to form a loop
Round 1: ch 3, 19 dc in ring, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.

Round 3: sl st in next sp, (ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2dc) in same sp, DblV in each V-Stitch sp around, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Make note of the last dc of the last DblV made. This will be the 1st Join dc.
Round 4: ch 1, sc in same as joining, + (*5 dc in next ch 2 sp, skip next dc, sc in next dc*, sc in next dc) 2 times and * to * once more + Fold piece with wrong sides of 1st and 3rd shell together, insert hook in next dc and the 1st Join dc behind and work 1 sc, # sc in next dc, 3 sc in next ch 2 sp, sc in next 4 dc, 3 sc in next ch 2 sp, sc In next dc # sl st in next dc (make note of this dc, this will be the 2nd Join dc) sc in next dc, do + to + once more, insert hook in next dc and in 2nd Join dc and work 1 sc, do # to # once more, join with a sl st to the sc of the 2nd Join dc.

With white, ch 6, join to make a loop. (starter ring)
NOTE: This loop is the base for the wings, each wing will be made separately working in this loop. Wings will be added in a counter clock wise order, do 1st wing as follows, join the 2nd wing to the left of the 1st wing, and so on.

Assembly
After stiffened (optional – see below) place dress over the top of the clothes pin. with hot glue, glue wings directly on the back of the dress, and glue the flower on the front.
Stiffening
The dress doesn’t really need to be stiffened, but the wings would hold up better if they are. Some kind of store bought stiffener spray would work well.
If you want a really permanent stiffener, use the glue and water technique. You mix equal parts of white school glue and water, then place the piece in the solution. Gently squeeze out excess, and place or shape on wax paper to dry. You can also place the wax paper on cardboard and pin with rust proof pins to shape. This will make the piece very stiff, really great for angels and thread snowflakes

(C) Dayna Audirsch – May 12, 2004
I’ve been living in Houston, Tx since 2003, born and raised Texan but took a brief detour for 7 years in Denver, Co. I’ve been crocheting since 2001, self taught after I was laid off one summer. I started my web site in 2003, while living on a South Texas ranch. I do wish I had more than 24 hours in a day so I could do more crafts, like crocheting and scrapbooking. Other hobbies I enjoy are hunting, reading Star Wars and modern romance novels, computer games, and riding horses. When I’m not crocheting, i’m working full time as a web developer. I’ve been married almost 11 years, and have 2 “fur” babies, cats named Pixel and Jack.
I LOVE angels and butterflys. Thank you
cool love it
I have not tried this but this is a very cute idea!
