What you need
50 gram ball purple worsted weight yarn
50 gram ball light blue worsted weight yarn (you will not need whole ball so use leftovers from other projects if you have them.)
Small amount of worsted weight white yarn and black yarn for big eye.
3 safety eyes (or google eyes, or you can embroider eyes with black yarn)
stuffing
Size 4 crochet hook (US size F)
large yarn needle for sewing and weaving in loose ends after sewing.

NOTE:For amigurumi style do not join rounds. Crochet in a spiral using stitch marker to mark beginning of round.
Instructions
Body:
Use purple yarn and size 4 hook.
round 1: CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook, do not join, place stitch marker
round 2: 2 SC in each SC around (12 SC), move stitch marker
round 3: *SC in next SC, 2SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move stitch marker (18 Sc)
round 4: *SC in next 2 SC, 2SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move marker (24 SC)
round 5: *SC in next 3 SC, 2SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move marker (30 SC)
round 6-8: SC in each SC around.
round 9: * SC in next 4 SC, 2 SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move marker (36 SC)
round 10-12: Sc in each SC around.
round 13: *SC in next 5 SC, 2 SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move marker (42 SC)
round 14: *SC in next 6 SC, 2 SC in next SC* repeat from * around, move marker (48 SC)
round 15-18 SC in each SC around
round 19: *SC in next 6 SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker (42 SC)
round 20: *SC in next 5 SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker (36 SC)
round 21: *SC in next 4 SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker (30 SC)
round 22: *SC in next 3 SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker (24 SC)
round 23: *SC in next 2 SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker (18 SC)
**stuff head now**
round 24: *SC in next SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, place marker (12 SC)
round 25: *2 SC tog* repeat from * around and finish off leaving 15 cm end for sewing. (6 SC)
Sew through both loops of each SC and finish off weaving ends in.
Big eye: make one.
White circle: round 1: CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook, do not join, place stitch marker
round 2: 2 SC in each SC around (12 SC), move stitch marker
round 3: *SC in next SC, 2SC in next SC* repeat from * around (18 Sc) Finish off leaving 20 cm for sewing.
Black circle: round 1: CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook. Finish off leaving 15 cm for sewing.
Sew black circle inside white circle and tie off on back of white circle. Sew white circle to head using picture for placement.
Tentacle Eyes: Make three. Using light blue yarn and size 4 hook.
round 1: CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook, do not join, place stitch marker
round 2: 2 SC in each SC around (12 SC), move stitch marker
** If using safety eyes, place one in middle of first round of stitches at top of tentacle now.**
round 3: SC in each SC
round 4: 2 SC tog around (6 SC)
5-10 SC in each SC. Finish off leaving 15 cm for sewing.
Sew each tentacle to top of head using picture for placement.
Legs: Make two. Using light blue yarn and size 4 hook.
round 1: CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook, do not join, place stitch marker
round 2: 2 SC in each SC around (12 SC), move stitch marker
round 3: *SC in next SC, 2 Sc in next SC* repeat from * around (18 SC)
round 4-5: SC in each SC
round 6: *SC in next SC, 2 SC tog* repeat from * around, move marker.
round 7-12: SC in each SC around. Finish off leaving 15 cm for sewing.
Sew to bottom of head using the picture of the amigurumi monster for placement.
Weave in any loose ends using yarn needle.
