What you need
Button, Craft wire and Jewelry pliers.
Instructions
Step-1: Cut a small piece of wire, around 6-8 inches should work. Make a small loop on any one side of the wire. Circle the wire 1-2 times around the loop to create a twirl pattern.
Step-2: Insert the open end of the twirled wire into a hole of the button. Bend the twirled part upwards and fix it below the button hole, on the front. Again insert the open end through the other button hole.
Step-3: With the remaining wire create a big loop and coil the rest of the wire below the big loop. Cut off extra wire if needed. Attach the pendant with a string or chain and enjoy!
Nice. I make buttons from polymer clay – this gives a new “twist”!
Nice post!
I love this! It’s such a creative way to repurpose buttons! I’d be fun to do something similar with other pieces of jewelry. I have buttons that look like the ones you have pictured…what gauge do you recommend?
I lead a crafts group at a senior center in Fort Worth, Texas. The center has been given a HUGE tub of buttons. It is said that they come from a button manufacturer that has gone out of business. We have made button bracelets, necklaces and bowls and trays from buttons and still have thousands of buttons left. Thanks for another neat craft we can make by using our enormous cache.
Its great idea to make pendants with button and i would also like to do the same. Thanks for sharing it with us.
The button idea is really cute. I’m going to pass this on to my granddaughters. I think they will enjoy making them. Great idea.
I love it!
What a great idea to use buttons 🙂

super nice:)
I think I will get out some of my antique buttons and make some earrings.
Love the wire button pendant…maybe a ring too.♥
I love this idea!
I think it is super creative and super easy, not to mention adorable to wear. Thanks for the tutorial.
