Instructions
Swap the snowman for stars, stockings, snowflakes, and Christmas trees—these Christmas Bath Melts are just as luscious and moisturizing as the classic melting snowman but are poured into festive molds like these solid silicone shapes. Think: smooth, colorful, holiday-themed bath treats that melt into buttery, fizzy bliss.
These little seasonal bath melts are the perfect handmade gift or personal treat—ideal for dry winter skin and stress relief. Just drop one into the tub and let the warm water release the nourishing oils and natural scent.
Why You’ll Love These
- Beginner-friendly (melt, mix, pour—done!)
- Customizable shapes with festive flair
- Solid and smooth for easy unmolding and packaging
- Budget-conscious: Make a full batch for less than a LUSH bath melt
- Perfect for gifting in little tins, cellophane bags, or jars
Tools:
- Holiday silicone mold set (like this one)
- Heatproof bowl & saucepan (double boiler setup)
- Spouted jug or pipette for pouring
- Airtight jars, tins, or cello bags for storage/gifting
Instructions:
1. Melt the Butters
In a heatproof bowl over simmering water, melt your cocoa butter and coconut oil until smooth and liquid. Stir gently.
2. Add Oils and Color
Remove from heat. Stir in your sweet almond oil, essential oils, and any mica powder or glitter.
3. Pour Into Molds
Carefully pour the mixture into the silicone holiday molds. Wipe spills clean immediately if gifting. Pop in any botanicals now if using.
4. Let Them Set
Chill in the fridge or freezer for 1–2 hours or until firm. Once set, gently remove from molds.
5. Package or Store
Store in an airtight container in a cool space. Wrap in mini gift bags or metal tins for holiday gifting.
How to Use a Bath Melt:
Drop one melt into a warm bath and let it dissolve. As it melts, it releases skin-nourishing butters and oils. Soak, breathe in, and relax!
Tip: Wipe the tub afterward to avoid any slipperiness.
Gifting Ideas:
- Pop a few into a mini mason jar with a ribbon and tag
- Wrap individually in tissue and place in a festive box
- Combine with homemade lip balm or scrub for a spa-themed hamper
