What you need
5 drops Geranium essential oil
5 drops of Lavender essential oil
5 drops of Tea tree essential oil
1 tbs Myrrh tincture
Instructions
Add all the ingredients together and shake well.
Apply the preparation sparingly throughout the day directly onto the cold sore.
You can use a small bottle to store this in.
For a handy pack add the oil to some cotton balls and place a ball in a small zip lock bag. Then dab the cotton ball onto the sore.
Nice blend, but storing cotton balls containing essential oils in a plastic zip lock bag is probably not a good idea since the oils will eat through the soft plastic. I’d probably just use 2 drops each of lavender, tea tree, peppermint, and lemon balm (melissa) essential oils mixed in 5 ml of sweet almond oil or vodka. Apply with a cotton swab about every two hours. But that’s just me 🙂
Myrrh should not be used during pregnancy!
