Bunting – Christmas Felt

This tutorial shows you how to make a bunting for your Christmas decorations. This bunting is a little larger than most making it perfect for large blank walls and doorways.

What you need

Felt
Binding
Sewing machine

Instructions

First, download the Christmas Bunting Pattern.

Cut out 4 panels  from your pattern sheet (you can make it as long or as short as you wish).

Sew contrast binding around the edge to keep it from stretching.

Stitch your star in place and secure with a button.

Make 8 loops with wide binding, large enough for a small rod to pass through.

Cut 2 m x 1 m  strips of felt 12 cm wide. Sew theses together putting in your panels as you go on the bottom section, and the 8 loops on the top edge ( make sure they are facing outwards).

Sew a nice piece of ribbon on the top for decoration.

It makes a nice door way decoration. And don’t forget you can make it as long as you wish.
