What you need
1 ball of worsted weight (roughly 50 yards)
Knitting needle: 7 US/4.50 mm OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION
Tension: 1″ = 5 stitches using Stockinette stitch
Instructions
1 x 1 rib stitch
Row 1: *knit one, purl one* continue from * to * end of row.
Repeat for pattern.
Stockinette (Stocking) Stitch
Row 1: knit to end of row.
Row 2: purl to end of row.
Repeat for pattern.
Cast on 45 stitches
Work in ribbing until your measures an inch.
Change to stocking stitch until your work measures thirteen inches.
Change back to ribbing pattern until ribbing measures an inch. Your entire work should measure fourteen inches at this point.
Cast off 45 stitches.
Finishing:
Now you are ready to sew your work. Ensure that the purl (“wrong”) side is facing out. Fold your work in half. Line up the ribbing on one side to the ribbing on the other.
Sew your pocket together.
You should now have a little pocket. The opening should be framed by ribbing.

If i have any thing to say its that this project could be able to be made also in the garter or purl stitch.
