What you need
3 1/2 cups of Flour
1 cup of Salt
1 1/4- 1 1/2 cups of Water
Variety of food coloring
Instructions
Mix the dough ingredients together and set small amounts aside. Color them individually to give the children lots of colors to play with. Just knead the color into the dough.
Let your child play with it until they design something you consider worth treasuring.
Then once they are done simply stick it in the oven at 250 degrees for around 20 minutes or until it sounds hollow when you tap it.
Help protect it with an optional spray of a clear varnish.
And you have a wonderful keepsake!
If o make a bowl out of play doh what can I seal it with to be able to eat of of it.
How long is the play-dough good for?
Glad to have the baking information; I’m actually making playdough hearts for concrete poetry… and for fun.
I’m painting it after it’s baked & writing on it with a fine sharpie.. I don’t know if it will work… Any experience with paints & writing on the item, anyone?
So far, though, I’ve had my test heart in the oven for about 40 minutes, and still not done… Glad I’m testing this first.
will this leave a smell in the oven? is it toxic in the oven?
i all ready hade read this on the back of a corn starch pack.
