These craft photos were contributed by Sandi. F, Thanks for sharing your craft with us Sandi!
I used 2 of the paint canvases size 5×7 from the Dollar Tree.
I then used 5 of the Jenga blocks to make the cross. I glued the cross inside the back of one of the canvases.
Then I took the battery fairy lights and glued them on the back of the canvas around the cross.
I took a sheet of music that I found and printed off the Internet and put it on the front of the Canvas with mod podge.
Then I glued the other canvas to the back of the canvas with the cross to make a box.
I trimmed the edges with rope and made a little rope bow added a few twigs of flowers. Then glued it to the candlestick base.
I added a bow to the candlestick and that’s it.
I also wanted my music sheet to look old. So I used the instant coffee trick to make them look yellow and aged. This was very easy to do.
I don’t see any answers to these questions…..I have a question but I don’t know if I’ll get an answer…..
How did you make the switch for the battery pack of the fairly lights accessible?
LOVE IT AND I HOPE TO DO ONE (OR MORE) MYSELF. THANK YOU FOR A BEAUTIFUL IDEA
I love this project The only issue I have is you can only see the cross from one side. I put a different hymn on the other side. Simple fix, though, hopefully. I’ll separate the canvases, and glue another cross in the other canvas frame too match the first. Fingers crossed for cutting these canvases apart…
What is the instant coffee trick? How do you do it?
I took a little squirt bottle and I put some coffee in it with some water and I take whatever I’m going to spray and just pump the spray you can speckle it or you don’t spray it very hard or you can spray it heavier that’s what I use a little spray bottle pump bottle and I fixed some coffee just regular instant coffee and water I hope that helps
I love this idea!
