So Soft Hair Goo

So Soft Hair Goo

This leave-in-conditioning goo leaves your hair soft and your curls defined.

What you need

3tbs of good quality hair conditioner
1/4 cup of water
1 tbs of coconut oil
5 drops of lavender essential oil
5 drops of ylang ylang essential oil

Instructions

I use around 1/2 tsp each application and run it through my hair.

I only use it after washing my hair whilst my hair is slightly damp.

The hair dresser said my hair felt so soft that she had to call everyone over to feel it.

Mix all the ingredients together and store in a airtight jar.

We also have a herbal conditioner recipe too.  Home-made shampoos and conditioners are a great way to strip back to basics and control what herbs you are putting into your hair shampoo and products. Store-bought herbal shampoo contains lots of numbers and ingredients that as the consumer we know very little about.

Comments

  1. do you need to wash it off?

  2. I prefere shampoo soz

  3. u can put coffee in your hair to make it soft.

    1. brew a cup of coffee and LET IT COOL
    2. poor through your hair so that all your hair is wet
    3. put shower cap on and LEAVE IN for 30-40 min
    4. rinse out after 30-40 min
    5. shampoo your hair to get coffee out
    6. towel dry (optional)

This really works by bringing out shadow in your hair and really softening shining it 😀

  4. No matter how good the conditioner is,I still get tangles. After I wash my hair and towel dry a bit, I apply 1/4 tsp to the bottom half of my hair and my comb goes thru much easier.

  5. I love this stuff it realy works. i got my hair so ruff but now i can comb through it without all of the ouch and owwws!

If you want to find ylang ylang essential oil or other essential oils go to a wild oats market.

  8. has anyone ever had negative effects with this?

  9. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

It states it is a leave in conditioner.

  10. my ? is do you rinse it out or is it a leave in ? I will try this always looking for a good tip, thanks Texas

  11. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

Actually, the above comment is incorrect, I personally have been using this for over 6 months as I made a large batch, it is perfectly fine. Adding coconut milk is not an option for this recipe.

  12. hmm sounds good

  13. thanks ^_^ sounds great, will give it a try.

  14. Ylang ylang is an essential oil. You can omit this oil, it will not effect the outcome too much. Mostly the scent

  15. Can some one tell me what ylang ylang essential oil is and were I can find it. I really want to try this. Thanks

  16. honey is even better for hair. but use pure unpasturized honey, and just let it sit in hair and rinse. makes hair soft and shiny, and healthy looking.

  17. This recipe sounds great! Can you tell me how long it lasts (if it is likely to go rancid etc) Ta!

  18. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

Not necessary but I can’t say it will work as well though.

  19. Please tell me if the essential oil is necessary.
