DIY Popsicle iPhone Case Cover

Stitch up this fun, stylish popsicle iphone case perfect for the Summer!

What you need

1/4″ yard of fabric for the outside, 1/4 yard of fabric for the lining, tan felt, batting, sewing machine, needle and thread, fabric glue

Instructions

1. Cut out your pieces, you will need-

2 3.3/4″x7″ rectangles from the main fabric

2 3.3/4″x7″ rectangles from lining fabric

1 1.5″17″ strip from the main fabric

1 1.5″17″ strip from the lining fabric

2 3.3/4″x7″ rectangles from quilt batting

2 1″x5.3/4″ piece to tan felt

1. Stack your rectangles of main, lining & batting pieces. Fold them in half and trim up the top corners so that they are curved, as pictured below. Unfold.

2. Stack your 2 main fabric pieces on top of the 2 batting pieces.

3. Use a pencil to lightly draw 2 long ovals on the top of the main fabric.

4. Use your sewing machine to stitch over your pencil lines, quilting your main fabric to your quilt batting.

5. Pin one end of your main strip to one of the main fabric pieces with the right sides together.

6. Continue pinning the main fabric strip to the main fabric piece, going around the curve and back down the other side.

7. Stitch around the edge with a 1/4″ seam allowance.

8. Repeat by pinning the second main fabric piece to the opposite edge of the main fabric strip, as pictured below. Stitch around the edge.

9. Repeat steps 5-8 with the lining pieces.

10. Stack your 2 felt pieces on top of each other and stitch down both long edges, as pictured below.

11. With the lining piece inside out, and the main piece right side out, slide the main piece inside the lining piece so that they are right sides together.

12. Fold your felt piece on half to make a loop.

13. Place the loop in between the lining and the main fabric pieces so that the loop ends are just barely sticking out.

14. Pin around the edges.

15. Using a needle and thread, Stitch around the bottom edge about /4″ away from the edge, and leaving a 2″ opening on the opposite side from the felt loop.

16.Flip the phone case right side out through the 2″ opening you left.

17. Slide the lining inside of the main fabric piece.

18. Fold the edges of the opening in and use fabric flue to adhere it closed.
