Knitted Pacman iPhone Sleeve

Step by Step instructions for creating your own Pacman based iPhone sleeve.

What you need

Turquoise and black worsted weight yarn
Size 8 straight needles
White and yellow felt
Small googly eye
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Instructions

Abbreviations

CO – Cast on

BO – Bind off

CC – Change color

K – Knit

P – Purl

Sts – Stitches

St st – Stockinette Stitch (K all sts in a row, P all sts in a row)

Steps

CO 30 sts in turquoise yarn
Work in K2, P2 rib stitch every row for 1 inch
BO only the front 15 sts, leaving the back 15 sts live on the needle

CC to black
K the 15 sts remaining on the needle
P
Continue working in St st for 3 inches, ending on a P row
CC to turquoise
CO 15 sts onto the needle in front of the 15 black sts already on the needle

K all 30 sts

Work in K2, P2 rib stitch for one more inch
BO

Turn the sleeve so the wrong side is facing you

Fold the blue parts over on top of themselves and sew up the seams.

Weave in all your yarn ends.

Assembly

Draw one larger circle on your yellow felt and three smaller circles on your white felt and cut out.

I used the bottom of a bug spray can to trace the Pacman circle and a small bolt for the smaller circles.

Cut out a triangle mouth for Pacman, and use a hot glue gun to secure a small googly eye.

Use the hot glue gun to secure Pacman and the white circles to the sleeve.

NOTE: I created this sleeve to go over my iPhone’s Incipio protective case. It will be too large to fit snugly on the iPhone by itself.
