This Gnome project was contributed Chantal from Crafts and DIY of all time . Thanks so much for sharing your idea and photos with us.

You can make a Christmas gnome by using white fur and a red nose, Use pastels for Easter and reds for Valentine’s day gnomes.

The images below contain a guide to creating this tutorial, it really is very easy to follow along.

For the beard, long hair fur is used and cut into a triangle to form a beard, or you can wrap the whole jar all the way around using a rectangle of beard fur.

Personally, I like the triangle beards as it uses less of the expensive fur, BUT if your jar is empty it might look odd from the back, so really only works with real succulents or jars filled with dirt.  You could also paint your jar a solid color using spray paint.

Make sure your hair is going down the beard, as shown. otherwise, it will look like your gnomes’ beard is growing sideways. If you do not have long hair fur, you can use fuzzy fabric, Brown moss or even a solid piece of felt for a similar look to your succulent gnome.
