Instructions

This Dollar tree craft was contributed by Nikki.  P. C. We loved her variation of the lantern made with a plastic race car track. . Thanks for sharing Nikki, we cant wait to make our own.

The base for this lantern is made using a 6×6 frame, but you could use a box lid.  Decide what color you would like your lantern to be, the base isn’t too important as it is covered with flowers and rope. Glue the rope into place around the base.
To achieve the wood look on the track , Nikki,  first painted them with white Waverly chalk paint.  and once dried covered with them the Waverly wax and gently remove the excess with a paper towel.
You could also paint them white with spray paint and dry brush them with some brown for an antique finish.
Glue more rope down the center of each track.
Place the craft foam into the center and secure it with glue, arrange your Fall flowers into the middle.
Finish off with a bow on the top.
Different colors for these lanterns product lanterns for every holiday season. Use blank for a fun Halloween lanterns or Red for Christmas.

This lantern is really beautiful. I have gotten stuck on making the lanterns as they are easy to make and you can make so many different kinds and colors.
