Instructions

[ ] work instructions within brackets as many times as directed

() work instructions within parentheses as many times as directed

* repeat the instructions following the single asterisk as directed

** repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed or repeat from a given set of instructions

alt = alternate

BL = Back loop
Bo = Bobble
BP back post
BPDC= back post double crochet
BPSC= back post single crochet
BPTC= back post treble crochet
CA = color a
C1= color 1
CC= contrasting color
Ch= Chain stitch
Ch- = refering to chain or space previously made
ch-sp = chain space
CL = cluster
cont =continue
DC= Double Crochet
DCTG= double crochet 2 stitches together
dec= decrease
DTR= double treble
Fl=front loop
Foll= Follow
Fp = front post
FPDC= front post double crochet
FPSC = front post single crochet
FPTR= front post treble crochet
HDC= half double crochet
Inc= increase
LP = loops
MC= main color
p = picot
Pat/patts = Pattern
pc = popcorn
pm = place marker
Prev= previous
rem= remaining
rep = repeat
rnd = round
RS= Right side
Sc= Single crochet
SC2TOG = single crochet 2 stitches together
Sk = Skip
st st = slip stitch
sp = space
st =stitches
tch =turning chain
tog = together
tr = treble crochet
tr tr=triple treble crochet
WS = wrong side
Yo = yarn over
YOH = yarn over hook

  3. Excellent list of crochet stitches!
    I wish the charted examples were there with the stitches, but I’m finding that no one does that, at least not with all possible stitches, just with the top 3 basic crochet stitches.
