Crochet a beaded ball pendant or earrings

Crochet a beaded ball pendant or earrings

It's easy to make crochet jewelry. All you need is a hook, some yarn, and in this case some small beads. (Or if you don't have beads, you could leave the ball plain, or dab some glittery nail polish over it to add some pizazz!)

What you need

Worsted weight yarn
4.5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Small beads
Sewing needle and thread

Instructions

Chain 5, slip stitch to join and form a ring.

Carrying the yarn end along the outside of the ring, make 8 single crochet in the ring.

Working in a spiral, make 24 single crochet, then fasten off with a long yarn end. Thread into a yarn needle.

Pull the yarn end from the beginning of the project to close up the hole, then pull that yarn end into the inside of the ball.

Stuff the ball with cotton, weave the needle through the last row of stitches, and pull to close up the top of the ball.

Take a few stitches to secure it, and then form a loop with the yarn, take a few stitches to secure the loop, then pass the yarn end through the center of the ball and cut off.

With a sewing needle and thread, sew beads all over the ball.

All done!

    Clarification needed for newbies.
By: “Working in a spiral, make 24 single crochet,…” is it meant to be all 1 sc in every sc, after initial 8 sc?
